Six 427-year Cycles Plus
590 - by Floyd R. Cox An advantage in not belonging to one
particular religious group is that a person is then allowed to read several
versions of the Bible. This is basic if we ever expect to understand how
different versions evolved and are related to each other. One
version does not explain why Noah was born 1056 years after Adam, and another
text says the flood was 251 years later, in 1307 years after Adam, why
the original Septuagint text says the flood was 2262 years after Adam, and
another tradition says the exodus was only 251 years later, in 2513
years after Adam. The Massorah text says Noah’s flood was 1656 years after
Adam. The Samaritan text says Noah’s death was 1657 years after Adam
(1307+350). A Septuagint text says Noah’s birth was 1656 years after
Adam (2256 to the flood minus 600). This implies that Moses merely supplied
the basic genealogies of Adam, Noah and Abraham without prohibiting future
scribes from adding the years between each generation. Therefore, the three
version of the Bible have different numbers between each generation. Entering the Age
of Ancient Astronomy
There is ample evidence that the original version for dating major
events, from Adam to Babel, to Abraham, to Joseph, to the exodus or to the
temple was somehow defined by the 408 orbits of Venus every 251 years and the
36 orbits of Jupiter every 427 years (as in TABLE 1) assuming, of course,
that the planets, including Venus and Jupiter, first appeared during the
seven days of creation. Jupiter, being the largest
planet, was moving through the ancient skies and rising just before the sun
every 12 years, and Venus was observed as an “evening star” and “morning
star” by transiting across the sky near the sun 13 times in eight years, even
before king Ammisaduqa of Babylon, long before the Israelites left Egypt. The
bright Dog Star, Sothis (Sirius), rose in the east 366 times every 365 days
as the Nile flooded Egypt. |

After
establishing a theory there were 427 years from the exodus from Egypt to the
temple, someone likely insisted there were actually 479 years as in I Kings
6:1. This means that 52 years needed to be added. To maintain the original 427-year
timeline in general, 52 years needed to be subtracted somewhere else. It
appears that the solution was to subtract 52 years from the period before
Noah’s flood. Instead of it being 1708 years (427 x 4), it would become 1656
years. |
