The rabbinical view has 17 jubilees between 1272 (when the Israelites entered Canaan) and 422 BC (when Jerusalem fell). The exodus would be in 1312 BC.

In contrast, 1255 BC (for the exodus) is 17 jubilees before 422 BC, but these would be 49-year jubilees.

TABLE 7 compares the two views showing how they both merge, or dovetail, in 422 BC.

Rabbinic tradition says the jubilee cycle began in 1258, 14 years after 1272, i.e., 14 years after the fall of Jerusalem (Ezekiel 40:1), 14 years after the fall of Babylon, and 14 years after the fall of Jerusalem in 70 AD.

The Bar Kochba revolt against Rome was 14 + 49 years after the temple was destroyed in 69-70 AD.

1272 was the entry into Canaan.

Rabbinical Sabbaticals:
2510 AM / 1250 BC
4936 AM / 1175 AD
4955 AM / 1195 AD
5327 AM / 1567 AD
5525 AM / 1765 AD
5649 AM / 1889 AD

Future Sabbatical:

(Tishri 1, 5776)

1966 / 1980  66th jub.

1980 / 1994

1987 / 2001

1994 / 2008

2001 / 2015

2015 / 2022

2022 / 2029  67th jub.

972 is Jephthah’s 300th year mentioned in Judges 11:26, 140 years before the temple (I Kings 6:1).

872 is David’s first year.

49-yr Jubilees allegedly occur after the temple burned in 422. The cycle ends in 132. So373 (372) is Cyrus’ decree.

The exodus was in 1255 if counted backwards from 422 BC. Then the jubilees were in 1010 (David’s first year), 961 (Solomon’s 12th year), & 520 BC (when the 2nd temple was founded). Sabbaticals are in 562, 457, 163, 135, 37 BC, 2015 AD.

Early on, the Messiah was expected to come (or return) during the last seven years of a jubilee cycle, most likely in year one. This would explain the fervor aroused in 27-34 AD, 69-70 AD and in 132 AD about a Messiah coming to restore the land to Israel. 2022-29 AD is the last seven years of the (67th jubilee), 1960 yrs. (490x 4) after 69 AD.
