13.3 million Jews await the birth and first coming of their Messiah. 2.2 billion Christians await the second coming of their Messiah, and 2.1 billion Muslims await the coming of the Mahdi or twelfth Imam. This amounts to 4.31 billion people of the world’s 7 billion, mostly descendants of Abraham’s two sons, Isaac and Ishmael, who are speculating about some type of divine intervention from above.

Google for “time of the end” and you’ll get 779 million hits. Now that is a real audience, and it seems that everyone now has a book spouting the latest theory.

When will these events happen? Well, nobody really knows for sure. Instead, the world is full of speculators looking for a sign.

Two Sabbatical Cycles Found

TABLE 10. When would sabbaticals be if the exodus were in 1447 BC, and if Joshua’s conquest were in 1407 BC (during the time of Dynasty XVIII)? When would they be if counted from an exodus in 1255 BC (during Ramesses II of Dynasty XIX)?

If counting from an exodus in 1255 BC, then the first year of Nebuchadnezzer (604 BC) and the year he became a beast (569 BC) and the founding of the second temple would be in sabbatical years. These align with the 490 years from 457 BC to 34 AD. 1980 would be the 66th jubilee, and a sabbatical would follow in 1987 AD. These align with Creation in 3957 BC.

If counting sabbaticals from Joshua’s entry into Canaan in 1407 BC, then the 17th jubilee would be in 574 BC, 14 years after Jerusalem fell (Ezek 40:1), and 1975 AD would be the 69th jubilee.

Some have calculated that the Messiah would return in 1982, because this would be 2520 years after the fall of Babylon in 539 BC. 1972 was 2510 (251 x 10) years after 539.

NOTE: Exodus 1255 seems to fit the six generations from the exodus to David.

An entry in 1407 allows enough time for having 300 years to Jephthah, one of the judges (Judges 11:26), and 479 years from the exodus to the temple (I Kings 6:1). None allow 450 years for the judges alone (as in Acts 13:20). An exodus in 1447 would place Creation in 3957 BC (1447 + 2510 = 3957).
